CORE STRENGTH



Core strength is essential to build metabolism, burn fat and boost overall strength and vitality. The core generally refers to the abdominal muscles group, but also involves gluteus medius and lumbar muscles and as the postural muscles of the back. The core muscles provide support for the three lower chakras. Without this these chakras become unbalanced, which lowers energy levels and causes emotional issues. The body’s core muscles provide the foundation for all activities of daily life. A weak core results in a weak digestive fire.  On a mental level, your self-esteem, self-assurance and self-reliance become stronger by working on your core. Strong core reduces back pain, improves postural imbalances and boosts self-esteem, confidence and willpower; helps achieve greater flexibility and better balance. With a strong core you are less prone to back pain and the structure of the body comes into better alignment around gravity. Yoga teaches you breathing techniques which increases lung capacity, clears blockages and even involves stomach muscles. This helps develop core strength. Having a strong body is essential to finding total harmony in all aspects of your life. Core strength is very important because your core is how your body maintains its balance.
